Economic Development Services

Economic Development Services is responsible for implementing City Council's commitment to local economic growth. Implementation of the Economic Development Strategy, business retention and expansion, tourism,  advocacy and education and assistance programs are the key responsibilities of this branch. This branch is also responsible for administering the City's real estate portfolio through acquisitions and dispositions of key city property.  The branch is also responsible for Downtown Development and administration of the Downtown Shoulder Area and Simcoe Street South Community Improvement Programs.  Economic Development also oversees the operation of the Oshawa Municipal Airport.
