Roger Bouma

City Councillor

Roger has been a resident of Oshawa for 32 years. As a local business person and real estate broker Roger has been selling Oshawa as a great place to live, to work and to play for the last 23 years. 

Roger has held leadership and fundraising roles in a number of not-for-profit and senior housing organizations.  He is an active member of the Durham Region Association of Realtors and a current member of their communication committee. He also holds memberships in the Durham Region Association of Realtors Commercial Council, the Canadian Commercial Council, the Ontario Real Estate Association and Canadian Real Estate Association. 

As a first term city councillor Roger is working towards “Building a Better Oshawa”. He enjoys being part of a council that is working well together, intentionally planning for our city’s future, actively promoting our city and all that it has to offer, and managing the business of the city prudently. Roger believes you deserve a council that remembers that every dollar spent is a dollar first earned by you and entrusted to the city to spend wisely.

When Roger is not working or volunteering he enjoys spending time with his wife and their grown children. You might also spot him running on one of Oshawa’s amazing paved trails.
