Development Services Department
The Development Services Department has the responsibility for municipal land use planning including, developing and maintaining the City's Official Plan and Zoning By-laws and amendments; processing development applications; long range land use policy and planning; plans examination; issuing building permits; building permit inspection; overall engineering management of the City's municipal infrastructure inclusive of roads, structures, storm sewers and facilities, and creek erosion protection works; corporate infrastructure management; economic and business development and real estate services; administering the Oshawa Municipal Airport; accessibility coordination; environmental policy coordination and energy management.
