Roads

The City of Oshawa has a well-maintained transportation network that connects with all major transportation links.

Highway 401 is a six-lane highway linking the City of Oshawa with Montreal, Toronto, Windsor and the United States. There are currently four interchange locations along Highway 401.   A four-lane regional highway provides a local east/west transportation link through the core of the City. The extension of Highway 407, which will run through the northern area of the City, will provide alternate access to points east and west of Oshawa when completed.
