Join us to celebrate the arrival of the New Year at the Legends Centre with free activities for the whole family! There will be live entertainment, jumping castles, swimming, skating, children’s activities, music and MORE!

  • Doors open at 5:45 pm.
  • Plan your evening with our on-site signage so you won’t miss a thing!
  • Wristbands are required to access leisure swims and skates. Wristbands are available for all times as soon as the doors open and are given out on a first come first serve basis.
  • Family countdown to the New Year begins at 8:45 pm.

  • Free Swims at 6:00 and 7:45 pm
  • Free Skates Pad 1 at 6:00, 7:00 and 8:00 pm
  • Free Skates Pad 3 at 6:15, 7:15 and 8:15 pm
  • Free Skates Pad 4 at 6:00, 7:00 and 8:00 pm

Entertainment on Pad 2

  • Lots of activities
  • New Year's countdown begins at 8:45 pm

Schedule of Activities

  • Crafts in the Gym, 6:00 to 8:45 pm
  • Crafts for 3 and under in Activity Rooms 2 and 3, 6:00 to 8:45 pm
  • Face Painting and Tattoos in the Leisure Room, 6:00 to 8:45pm
  • Free Hot Chocolate in Activity Room 4 while supplies last
  • Entertainment in the Library 6:30 and 7:45 pm, limited number of tickets available

This celebration in Oshawa is an open free public event. Photographers will be present taking photos and video footage at this event. These images may be used without further notification at a later date (printed materials,website or social media outlets) for the promotion of the City of Oshawa.



Take Durham Transit to get to this event. Free New Year's Service beginning at 8:00 pm.

The following bus routes travel to Legends Centre:

  • 407 Ritson and 421 Townline - (goes directly to Legends Centre)
  • 405 Central Park, 410 Olive Harmony and 916 Rossland - (goes to the Wal-Mart Plaza just south of Legends Centre)
