Oshawa’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

The annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony has been a tradition in Oshawa for over 30 years.

Join us on Friday November 30 at 6:45 pm at Memorial Park. What better way to start the holiday season than with hot chocolate, great entertainment for all ages, church bells, lighting a Christmas tree and a visit from a very special guest in Red, along with his elves! 

Entertainment for all ages including:

  • Original songwriter and entertainer of all ages, Dan the Music Man Oshawa's Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
  • Strolling Entertainment by Tim Holland, The Puppet Tamer
  • Children's Crafts
  • Traditional carols by Nuance Vocal Ensemble

After the City of Oshawa Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in Memorial Park, warm up at the Oshawa Public Library - McLaughlin Branch with live entertainment from the Bruce Gorrie Trio on the main floor, then drop by the Children's Services to join in some fun playing Pin the Nose on Rudolph and other games.  Enjoy free refreshments and treats from Mad Cafe.  Fun for the entire family!  Drop-in program, no registration required.
