Oshawa’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

The annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony presented by the Oshawa PUC Networks Inc has been a tradition in Oshawa for over 30 years.
While entering the park listen to the wonderful sounds of the Oshawa Civic Band as they play their musical instruments.
Join us on Friday November 22 at 6:45 pm at Memorial Park. What better way to start the holiday season than with FREE hot chocolate, great entertainment for all ages, church bells, lighting a Christmas tree and a visit from a very special guest in Red, along with his elves!
Bring your own refillable mug to the event to fill it with hot chocolate.
New this year OWASCO Audi will be present to fill an Audi with unwrapped toys, so bring your donation to the event. As well as candy imitation of St. Georges Church created by Janice McHaffie will be on display at at the event.
Entertainment for all ages including:
- Original songwriter and entertainer of all ages, Dan the Music Man
- Traditional Carols performed by O'Neill Chamber Choir & Nuance Vocal Ensemble
- Reindeer will also be visiting the event for all to see
Remember to bring your Santa letters to drop in Santa's Mailbox!
After the City of Oshawa Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in Memorial Park, warm up at the Oshawa Public Library - McLaughlin Branch with live entertainment from the Bruce Gorrie Trio Fun for the entire family! Drop-in program, no registration required.
