Two Unit House Registration
- By-law 41-2001 requires owners of Two Unit Houses to register their Two Unit House with the City of Oshawa.
- A Two Unit House is a building which was originally constructed as a Single Detached Dwelling, Semi Detached Dwelling or Row House.
- Two unit houses must have existed on November 16, 1995 and proof substantiating this type of occupancy will be required to be submitted as part of the registration process.
- Following acceptance of the application to register your two unit house, it will be inspected for compliance with the Fire Code, Property Standards and parking regulations.
- Upon satisfying applicable regulatory requirements as established by code or by-law, the building will be registered as a two unit house, and a certificate will be issued. Click for contact information (A)
