How big can I make my garden Bed?
- Within a lot, adjacent to the base of the Headstone Marker the flower beds must not exceed 30cm (12in) in width
- Where there is no Marker, planting can only be done by permission of the Cemetery Manager
- Flower beds adjacent to Foot Markers are prohibited
- Raised edging is not permitted
- Artificial flowers are permitted provided they are placed in spiked containers immediately adjacent to the headstone, and properly maintained and not detrimental to general maintenance of the cemetery
- No decorations are permitted at the Foot Markers
When can I place a winter wreath?
- After November 1 and removed prior to April 30, failing to do so the Cemetery Manager will have them removed within the first week of May
- Artificial wreaths must not be covered with glass or plastic
- They must be securely anchored to the monument , or where there is no monument, mounted on an appropriate stand securely anchored to the ground
When is Decoration Day?
- Decoration Day is the third Sunday in June of each year
Does your cemetery provide guided tours?
- Historical tours of the cemetery are available for groups
- Tours are an excellent idea for school trips for children of all ages. Information provided will compliment school curriculum

How can I locate the plot of a loved one?
- You can contact Service Oshawa at (905) 436-3311 for the details of the location; or
- Staff are on site Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 4pm and would be happy to provide any location. There is no charge for this service.
Can I dedicate anything in the honor of a loved one?
- Tree and bench dedications may be made as a lasting tribute to a loved one

Where can I purchase my marker or monument?
- A wide variety of markers and monuments are available for purchase through the cemetery office located at 760 King St. Please call 905-436-3311 for an appointment
Can I purchase an upright monument?
- Upright monuments are permitted with the purchase of four lots in a square
How many family members can be interred in one grave?
- You may have one traditional burial and 4 cremated remains per grave
