Oshawa is recognized leader in many areas, including brownfield development, naturalization, energy conservation, integrated pest management, municipal beautification and volunteer participation through the Oshawa Environmental Advisory Committee (OEAC), Communities in Bloom, Pitch-in! and other programs.

2014 Eco- Challenge

The OEAC is proud to announce the 2014 year-long Eco-Challenge! The monthly themes aim to build local capacity around climate change by encouraging and engaging OEAC members, the community, and local business to collectively take action to protect and promote a healthy environment. Roots of My Community Photo Contest

Celebrate our trees and the important role they play in our lives and community.  The City is inviting residents to submit photos showcasing a landmark, significant or unique tree in our City and tell why that tree is important to you and our community. Learn more about the contest and prizes.
