Spring Gardening Event

The OEAC is hosting an exciting gardening event on Saturday, May 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the South Oshawa Community Centre.

Just in time for gardening season, the event will feature a series of FREE “How to in 10” mini-workshops, presented by the Durham Master Gardeners. These will include:

  • Balcony and container gardening
  • Square food gardening
  • Know your soil
  • Pollinator gardens

These mini-workshops will run throughout the day – so there’s always a chance to learn about how to make your garden grow!

The event will also feature displays from the Oshawa Public Library’s “Need a Seed, Leave a Seed” program, lots of free information on gardening and local food, and other displays.

The Oshawa Garden Club is hosting its Annual Plant Sale at the event – come early and stock up on perennials and other bedding plants!
