The City of Oshawa operates four (4) arenas and a total of eight (8) ice surfaces. Ice is maintained from September – March in all facilities. The Legends Centre maintains 2 ice pads year-round.

During the spring and summer months arena floors at many arenas become available for lacrosse, ball hockey and in-line skating.

Ice Allocation Policy

The City of Oshawa distributes ice to its major (minor and adult organizations and leagues) and minor (boards of education, LOSSA, casual requests) ice users following the guidelines outlined in its Ice Allocation Policy.  A combination of factors are reviewed in order to allocate ice in a fair and equitable manner. Please review the Ice Allocation Policy for details.

Arena Floor Rentals

The City of Oshawa has 5 arena floors that are available to rent from May to August. Fees range from $66.00/hour to $85.50/hour (plus applicable taxes). For more information please contact the Facility Booking Office at 905-436-3888.

Prime and Non-Prime Hours

Note: Non-Prime ice rental rate applies during non-prime hours for MINOR tournaments plus the $25.00 per hour ice surcharge.

Insurance Rates are now applied to all ice contracts.

• Occasional High Risk Insurance is applied for ice hockey  at a rate of $3.08/hour plus PST.
• Medium Risk Insurance is applied for pleasure skating at a rate of $1.54/hour plus PST.
