Neighbourhood Community Centres (located throughout Oshawa)
Oshawa's Neighbourhood Community Centres or "club houses" are located within 15 communities that are dispersed throughout Oshawa. These buildings are operated through the neighbourhoods in which they are located. All of these buildings are used by, and for, community programs and events. Columbus Community Centre (3265 Simcoe Street North)
Located in Columbus, north of Oshawa, this community centre houses special events, such as weddings, church services and child care programs. Its main room, complete with kitchen, can accommodate groups of up to 100 people. There is parking for 150 cars. Columbus Community Centre is next door to the Columbus United Church and has a ball diamond, playground and tennis court located directly behind it.
