The following swims will be cancelled due to swim meets:
Sunday, October 2
Saturday, October 15
Beginning Monday, October 3, badminton will be available in the gymnasiums at Legends Centre and South Oshawa Community Centre and in the Civic Fieldhouse on the artificial turf. Badminton will be available as a drop-in program during daytime hours Monday to Friday. Badminton court bookings will be available during the evenings and all day Saturday and Sunday.
Please note that badminton programming will no longer be available in the Civic Dome as the badminton courts have been converted into a tennis court to respond to the growing demand for tennis.
As of Monday, October 3, the City of Oshawa will be converting the Civic Dome badminton courts to a tennis court to accommodate the Oshawa Tennis Club. Current City of Oshawa Members should expect the same level of service, court availability as well as partnership with Matchpoint Tennis as last year.
To conduct the renovations, the Civic Dome will be closed from Monday, October 3 to Friday, October 7. There will be an additional closure (of no longer than one day), at a later date to improve the lighting for the new court.
