With the easing of Provincial public health measures, the City of Oshawa is pleased to welcome the return of in-person Council and Standing Committee meetings at Oshawa City Hall.
Effective April 4, all Council and Standing Committee meetings will be held using a hybrid model. Members of Council and the public will have the ability to participate in-person or electronically should they wish to do so.
Members of the public may attend in-person to view the meeting or may view it live on webstream. Community members wishing to address Council or a Standing Committee will have the option to address Council or a Standing Committee either electronically or in-person. Delegations wishing to address Council or a Standing Committee must advise City Clerk Services whether they will attend in-person or electronically no later than noon, one business day prior to the meeting.
Visiting City facilities
In response to the Province of Ontario taking additional steps to ease public health measures, all mask mandates were lifted at City facilities effective March 21. Visitors to City Hall and other City facilities may choose whether they wish to wear a mask indoors.
Community members and visitors are reminded to respect everyone’s personal choice and that any harassment or abuse toward staff members or visitors will not be tolerated.
Visitors are still required to adhere to signage and self-screen prior to entering City facilities and are reminded that health and safety protocols remain in place and must be followed at all times.
The City reminds community members that appointments are no longer required at City Hall, City recreation facilities and Oshawa Animal Services.
Community members can continue to do business with the City online or over the phone. Service Oshawa continues to be available online, over the phone or by email from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and can be reached by calling 905-436-3311, emailing [email protected] or by accessing online services at serviceoshawa.ca. Additional online applications and payment options are available at Oshawa.ca.
