In response to the Province of Ontario taking additional steps to ease public health measures, the City of Oshawa is lifting all mask mandates at its facilities effective today (Monday, March 21).
City staff and visitors can choose whether they want to wear a mask indoors in City facilities. Community members and visitors are asked to respect everyone’s personal choice; any harassment or abuse toward a staff member or visitor will not be tolerated.
While mask mandates have been lifted, visitors are still required to adhere to posted signage and self-screen prior to entering City facilities. Health and safety protocols remain in place, including enhanced cleaning and disinfecting and physical barriers like plexiglass dividers.
The City reminds community members that appointments are no longer required at City Hall, recreation facilities and Oshawa Animal Services.
Community members can continue to do business with the City online or over the phone. Service Oshawa is open at City Hall from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and can also be reached by calling 905-436-3311, emailing [email protected] or by accessing online services at serviceoshawa.ca. Additional online applications and payment options are available at Oshawa.ca.
