The City of Oshawa is pleased to report that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Oshawa recorded nine building records in 2020:

• Highest March Residential of $87,611,100 (surpassing 2015’s record of $63.25 million)

• Highest March Apartment units of 505
• Highest Apartment units issued in any month (surpassing 1976’s record of 455 units)
• Highest April Residential of $124,433,300 (surpassing 2015’s record of $63.4 million)

In alignment with the second provincial emergency and stay-at-home order announced by the Province of Ontario on January 12, we are pleased to continue providing our Curbside Library Take-Out services at the McLaughlin, Jess Hann and Northview branches.

The Oshawa Executive Airport is regulated by Transport Canada under the Federal Government. The Federal Government has not restricted any domestic aviation activity and as such, both private and business domestic aircraft activity may take place.

With the holidays fast approaching, the City of Oshawa advises that registration is now open for curbside Christmas tree collection. Register at www.oshawa.ca/treecollection and scratch this task off your holiday to-do list.

Residents are asked to register their address by Thursday, January 7, 2021 in order to receive curbside collection of their Christmas tree. Residents can register by visiting www.oshawa.ca/treecollection or by calling Service Oshawa at 905-436-3311.

The City of Oshawa and Region of Durham have a priority system in place to ensure roads are plowed and salted in the most effective manner, with the City maintaining only Oshawa roads.
