Increased Assessment Grant Program |
The City of Oshawa may provide a grant on a sliding scale for part or all of the increase in City taxes attributable to the improvement of a building and/or redevelopment of a property located within the Wentworth Street West Community Improvement Project Area. |
Facade and Accessibility Improvement Grant |
The City of Oshawa may provide a Façade and Accessibility Improvement Grant, to a specified maximum, to assist property owners with the financing of building façade and accessibility improvements, in order to create a more interesting, appealing and accessible streetscape to attract more people and businesses to the area. |
Economic Stimulus Grant |
The City of Oshawa may provide an Economic Stimulus Grant, to a specified maximum, to assist property owners with the financing of leasehold improvements and associated accessibility enhancements to ground floor or upper storey units. The goal of this program is to encourage, stimulate and incentivize leasehold improvements and associated accessibility enhancements in order to support a variety of businesses in the area. |
Applications for Increased Assessment Grants are accepted on a first come first serve basis throughout the year, and require Council approval.
Applications for all other grant programs are accepted twice a year.
The next application deadline is March 1, 2021.
Apply for a grant program under the Wentworth Street West Community Improvement Plan and submit your application to Economic Development Services.
Please note, any application must be submitted by the registered property owner, or by an authorized agent or solicitor on behalf of the property owner.
