Finance Services is comprised of 4 divisions:
Financial Planning and Reporting |
Financial Planning and Reporting is responsible for the preparation and administration of the City's corporate operating budget and multi-year capital plan, providing financial and accounting advice, preparation of financial statements and the strategic financial plan. |
Financial Services and Financial Systems Development |
Financial Services and Financial Systems Development is responsible for payroll, accounts payable, banking, cash management, investments, risk management and insurance. This section also performs a lead role in the development and implementation of corporate financial systems. |
Revenue and Tax Services |
Revenue and Tax Services is responsible for the preparation and distribution of property tax notices and certificates, and the collection and accounting of all tax revenue. This section also manages the City's accounts receivable. |
Purchasing Services |
Purchasing Services provides centralized procurement services for all City of Oshawa departments and designated boards. We oversee the purchase of goods and services to ensure competitive pricing, quality goods and services and timely delivery to meet City needs. |
