The City of Oshawa has retained CIMA+ to complete the detailed design for a single-lane and future multi-lane roundabout at the intersection of Conlin Road East and Grandview Street North. Through the City’s Conlin Road East Environmental Assessment process, the intersection of Conlin Road East and Grandview Street North was identified as an intersection to be constructed as a roundabout. This form of intersection control was recommended because of its expected capacity and safety benefits. The City currently has the construction of the roundabout programmed in the forecast budget for 2024, subject to Council approval.
The City wishes to ensure that anyone interested in this project has the opportunity to provide input. At the present time, the Province of Ontario has implemented a State of Emergency requiring measures to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic and has restricted public gatherings. As a result, the Public Consultation is relying on web-based communications. Community members are invited to request more information or address comments in writing to the City of Oshawa’s Engineering Services department or the engineering consultant at the addresses noted below. Feedback will be received until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2020.
If you require alternate formats, please contact Ranjit Gill at 905-436-3311 extension 2868 no later than December 11, 2020.
