Volunteer Recognition Awards
The City of Oshawa is pleased to recognize volunteers for their service to Oshawa community-based organizations.
Successful volunteers will be acknowledged by City Council at a council meeting in April each year.
In order to be considered for an award, the following criteria must be met:
- Individuals must be nominated by a community-based organization.
- Each organization is permitted to nominate two individuals annually.
- Volunteers must be currently active in their volunteerism for the organization submitting the nomination.
- Volunteers must have completed at least five years of continuous volunteerism for the organization submitting the nomination.
- No payment has been made for any services provided by the volunteer.
- Volunteers can be recognized only once for the organization submitting the nomination.
