Analysis of Pedestrian and Traffic Data
City Challenge
The City of Oshawa previously conducted a pedestrian and traffic counting study along Conlin Rd., between Founders Dr. and Simcoe St. N., due to identified traffic and jaywalking concerns. Over the course of a year, an Ontario Tech University research team worked with the City’s Transportation and Parking Services team to develop a platform using A.I. to establish a mechanism for counting vehicles and people crossing this area.
The City is interested in having an analysis of this data completed, to inform improved safety concerns at this location.
