City of Oshawa recognizes businesses and community member with Accessibility Improvement Awards
On Monday, May 30 during National AccessAbility Week in Oshawa, City Council together with the Oshawa Accessibility Advisory Committee (O.A.A.C.) honoured businesses and residents who have improved access for individuals with disabilities throughout the city. The Accessibility Improvement Awards recognize the outstanding contributions made within the community resulting in greater opportunities for people to live, work and play.
The recipients of this year’s Business-Community Accessibility Improvement Award are:
- Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre
- Parkview Place Senior Housing Residence
The recipient of this year’s Resident Accessibility Improvement Award is:
- Gail Smith
