“June is Recreation and Parks Month” in Ontario. The City of Oshawa is celebrating the month of June with the rest of the province by getting active!
We have a number of activities to get you active and involved in the city’s recreation facilities, parks and outdoor spaces for “June is Recreation and Parks Month”:
- Free Fitness Fridays – Join us every Friday in the month of June at any of the three City of Oshawa Fitness Centres for free.
- Celebrate Pride Month with a 2SLGBTQ+ Free Fun Swim at Delpark Homes Centre from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on June 26
- Family Fun – Create a physical activity circuit you can do with your family! Try hopping, jumping jacks, and finishing off with a stork stand!
- Explore the outdoors – plan a visit to a local park, enjoy our trails or plan a day with the family at a splash pad near you
- Beginning Monday, June 19, go for an outdoor swim at Camp Samac outdoor pool, or Lakeview Park beach.
- Tag Us on Social – take photos of you and your friends participating in outdoor recreation, and tagging the City of Oshawa in it at #JRPMOshawa
