Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce Notice: New CEO Announcement
The Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors would like to extend its sincere thanks to Nancy Shaw, CEO, who will retire on September 7, 2021 after almost six years of outstanding service to the business community.
Ms. Shaw’s vision and leadership has transformed the Chamber’s business practices, vision and pathway. Her strong leadership and dedication have supported and strengthened the business community in Oshawa and surrounding areas. “It has been an honour and a pleasure to serve as the Oshawa Chamber, CEO, over the past five and half years. I thank the Board, volunteers and Chamber members for all your unwavering support, you have allowed my time at the Chamber, to be an amazing experience! Thank you to my awesome staff! The Search Committee is excited to announce that they have selected Jason King as Nancy’s successor. Mr. King brings a wealth of knowledge to the Oshawa Chamber, and believes that the Chamber is vital to the business community. “Over the past five and a half years, Nancy and the team have done a great job of adapting to the ever-increasing pace of change in how the world does business by introducing new ways to connect and support our members and build a better Chamber together. I look forward to working with the Chamber team and Board to take up their vision of further modernizing how we serve our members and community,” said King.
Mr. King has deep roots in the Oshawa business network, “Since opening my first Oshawa business on Celina Street in 1996, community building has been at the heart of my work. It’s such an honour and a thrill to have the opportunity to work together with so many of our local business leaders toward further making the Greater Oshawa area a place of opportunity and prosperity,” comments King.
