Road Closure/Project Update: Capital Construction Project: Darcy St. Structure Replacement

Through a competitive bidding process earlier this year, the City of Oshawa retained Trisan Construction to complete the replacement of the Darcy Street municipal structure, between Oshawa Boulevard North and Juniper Street.

To date, Trisan has closed access to the work area, removed the existing roadway and culvert, supported/relocated existing utilities, installed a new trunk watermain and started construction on the new culvert.

Work on installing the new culvert is progressing well, however, the project has been delayed due to utility issues and adverse site conditions. Project signage on site will be updated accordingly.

The overall project is now anticipated to be complete in the Spring/Summer 2023. Please note that although the contractor is making every effort to complete this project in a timely and safe manner, the work is contingent on acceptable weather conditions moving forward.
