Road closures on Veterans Rd. and Holland St.

The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of road closures on Veterans Rd. and Holland St. in the City of Oshawa.

When: The closures will be in stages from May 1 until September. Lane restrictions will also occur throughout the construction period. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Veterans Rd., from Wilson Rd. S. to Farewell St., and Holland St., from Bloor St. E. to Veterans Rd., in the City of Oshawa.

Why: The closures are required for the replacement of a watermain and sanitary sewer. A temporary water system will also be installed. During this work, residents will experience intermittent water supply interruptions. Impacted properties will be notified at least 24 hours in advance of any required service interruptions to give the residents time to prepare.

Note: Access for local traffic and emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times. The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and work crews.
