While the City works to ensure facilities are open as expected, maintenance, weather and unforeseen incidents sometimes require closures. Search to view the status of any City recreation facility.

Current facility and program changes

Please note that program schedules may change on holidays, during special events or due to temporary closures. Changes to our facilities and programs, such as leisure swimming, playground program and facility amenities (e.g. sauna, walking track, pool lifts, Civic Dome), are posted on Service Disruptions.

Water slide closed at South Oshawa Community Centre

The water slide located at the South Oshawa Community Centre will be unavailable until further notice for repairs. Due to this service disruption, the slide will be unavailable during fun swims and pool parties. 

Drop-in Preschool cancelled at South Oshawa Community Centre

Drop-in preschool has been cancelled at the South Oshawa Community Centre until further notice.

Leisure swims cancelled at Donevan Recreation Complex June 3 and 10

The Donevan Recreation Complex pool will be unavailable on Saturday, June 3 and June 10. As a result, all public swims scheduled on these days will be cancelled.

Leisure swim delays at South Oshawa Community Centre on June 7

The South Oshawa Community Centre pool will not be available until 10:30 a.m. on  June 7. Due to this service disruption, leisure swims scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on these days will now start at 10:30 a.m. 

Leisure swim cancellations at South Oshawa Community Centre

The South Oshawa Community Centre pool will be unavailable from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on May 28, June 4, June 11 and June 18. As a result, all leisure swims scheduled during this time will be cancelled.
