Oshawa has a prominent university district in the downtown area. More than 2,600 Ontario Tech University students and staff attend class and work in this area, and on a daily basis enjoy a variety of local restaurants and shops. There is a lot to do in the downtown area, from annual festivals to sold-out concerts hosted by the Tribute Communities Centre and Regent Theatre.
