Emergency Planning

As a family, it is important to discuss:

• the types of emergencies that can occur,
• what you need to prepare,
• what to do during an emergency and evacuation, and
• outline the roles and responsibilities of each person.

Practising your plan will save time during an emergency and make the situation less stressful.

If possible, pre-arrange for an out-of-town location to stay during an emergency.
