COVID-19 vaccination requirements for recreation facilities:
The Ministry of Health guidelines require all Ontarians to be fully vaccinated and provide proof of their vaccination status to access certain businesses and select indoor settings to further protect against COVID-19. Community members who are eligible to be fully vaccinated must show their vaccine receipt along with government issued ID (birth certificate, driver’s licence, health card, passport) to attend a City recreation facility. Some exemptions apply. New: Effective Friday, October 22, community members will also be able to use their enhanced vaccine certificate with a QR code when attending City recreation facilities.

Oshawa Fitness Centres

Fitness centres at the Civic Recreation Complex, Delpark Homes Centre and South Oshawa Community Centre are now open for limited use. The walking track at Delpark Homes Centre and Civic Recreation Complex are available for separate bookings.

 Community members are asked to book their next fitness centre visit in advance at register.oshawa.ca.

Open with limited services:

• Change room facilities including showers and lockers are not available.
• Fitness centre users are to arrive in their workout attire. Gym bags and storage of personal belongings are not available.

Fitness centre safety measures

• COVID-19 health and safety for pools and fitness centres
• Community members are required to book their session in advance.
• All memberships have automatically resumed. 
• Oshawa residents have advance booking privileges at recreation facilities. Membership holders also have advance booking privileges at recreation facilities depending on their membership type. Learn more about our memberships and admissions.
• Community members requiring assistance with their booking, or Oshawa residents looking to take advantage of their advance booking privileges, are able to contact a Recreation Information Clerk by phone for assistance. For facility contact information and hours of availability, please visit our Program Registration webpage with details listed under the phone-in registration section. All other community members are encouraged to book their visit online at register.oshawa.ca.
• Fees are non-refundable.
• Wear your non-medical mask or face-covering when in the facility with the exception of when you are actively engaging in activities in the fitness centre. Masks must be worn when moving through all common areas.
• Physical distancing measures will be in place, some equipment will not be available for use.
• Fitness centre users are required to wipe down their equipment after each use.

• Community members with a fitness centre booking are asked to arrive at the facility at the time of their scheduled booking, and leave the facility promptly after their booking is complete.
