To ensure the safety of all participants, the City of Oshawa has specific rules and requirements for participation and admission in leisure swimming. Please read the following for more information:
General pool rules
- Disposable and cloth diapers are not permitted in the water. Please use diapers designed for pool use.
- All individuals with a serious medical condition should be accompanied in the water with another individual knowledgeable of their condition.
- Those with open sores or communicable diseases will not be admitted to swimming pools unless a medical doctor's certificate is presented.
- Under garments, cut-offs, jeans and loose clothing are not permitted in the pool.
- Saunas, hot tubs, water slides and water features are currently not in service.
- Spectators are not permitted in viewing galleries.
- Please do not bring food and/or beverages onto pool decks.
- Shoes must be removed before entering the shower and pool area.
- Community members are welcome to bring their own life jackets. It is recommended that life jackets are D.O.T. (Department of Transportation) approved and in good condition.
- Use of snorkels is not permitted.
- Change rooms are operating at a reduced capacity, lockers are not available.
- Swimmers will have access to the change room for 15 minutes before and after their booking.
- Belongings are to be left on the pool deck in a plastic bag.

Pool Admission Requirements
- Swim tests will not be done at this time.
- Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a caregiver who is at least 14 years of age and is responsible for their direct supervision (within arms reach), with a maximum of 2 children for each parent or guardian.
