Service Disruption: Civic Dome closed
The Civic Dome located at the Civic Recreation Complex is closed until further notice. As a result, all permitted rentals and bookings for the indoor track, tennis courts and squash courts at the Civic Recreation Complex will be cancelled until further notice. Any updates about this closure will be available at Facility Status.

Indoor tennis court rentals
Recreation and Culture Services operates and maintains four indoor tennis courts at the Civic Recreation Complex.
Indoor tennis court information |
- Community members are required to book indoor tennis courts in advance.
- Tennis players are to arrive in their match attire.
- Children 12 years of age and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- The use of tennis ball machines (feeders) and ball baskets (hoppers) are currently prohibited. Players may have no more than 6 tennis balls on the court.
- All players are required to leave the facility promptly after your session is complete.
Note: A Civic Dome closure may occur when inside temperatures exceed 30° Celsius, please contact the Civic Recreation Complex for the most up-to-date information.

Book an indoor tennis court |
All community members are required to book indoor tennis courts in advance. View the tennis court schedule or book a court. Bookings are limited to 1 court per day per person.
Community members cannot book courts on someone else's behalf. The individual booked on the court must be present at the time of play. If this individual is unable to attend, they must cancel their booking in accordance with our cancellation policy.
Bookings for tennis courts can be completed:
- Online visiting activeOshawa Online Registration. The next calendar day for bookings become available as of midnight (12:00 a.m.). Courts are available for the following booking durations:
- In person by visiting the Civic Recreation Complex as of 6:00 a.m. from Monday to Friday, and as of 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
- Over the phone by calling the Civic Recreation Complex as of 8:30 a.m. daily.

Oshawa residents and community members with an active All Inclusive Membership or Racquet Sports Add-on have advance booking privileges for tennis court bookings. See below for details:
- Residents with an active All Inclusive Membership or Racquet Sports Add-on have ten (10) days advance booking privileges for tennis court bookings by phone. Ten days advance booking is not available through activeOshawa Online; please call the City at 905-436-3311 to complete your booking.
- Non-residents with an active All Inclusive Membership or Racquet Sports Add-on have seven (7) days advance booking privileges for tennis court bookings online.
- Residents without an All Inclusive Membership or Racquet Sports Add-on have three (3) days advance booking privileges for tennis court bookings by phone. Three days advance booking is not available through activeOshawa Online; please call the City at 905-436-3311 to complete your booking.
- Non-residents without an All Inclusive Membership or Racquet Sports Add-on have one (1) day advance booking privileges for tennis court bookings online.

Outdoor tennis and pickleball court rentals

- Outdoor court nets and posts will be installed the second week in April. Lights will be available as of the first week of May.
- Outdoor court nets and posts will be removed the second week in November. Lights will be turned off the last week in October.

Outdoor tennis courts |
- Asphalt tennis courts are available for use on a first come, first serve basis.
- Large groups (church groups, schools, recreation programs, sports groups and leagues) wanting exclusive use of the tennis courts are to contact the Facility Booking Office. An hourly fee of $3.25 will apply.
- Courts, when not in use by league or organizational play, are available at no charge, on a first-come, first-serve basis for individual play.

Outdoor pickleball courts |
Pickleball Courts are located at Stone Street Park and Radio Park.
- Pickleball is a cross between tennis, table tennis and badminton. It is played on a court slightly smaller than a tennis court with wooden paddles and a plastic whiffle ball. The object of the game is to hit the ball so that your opponent is unable to hit it back over the net.
- Pickleball court lines have been added to some asphalt tennis courts and are available for use on a first come, first serve basis.
