Oshawa will recognize Remembrance Day virtually
The City of Oshawa, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43 and Royal Canadian Branch 637 are asking residents once again tune into this year's ceremony virtually.
On Thursday, November 11 at 10:30 a.m., the community is invited to watch the virtual 2021 Remembrance Day ceremony by tuning in to the live broadcast RogersTV.com/Durham from their computers or mobile devices. The ceremony will not feature a parade or gathering in Memorial Park. To protect the health of our local Veterans and community members, please do not to travel to Memorial Park to attend the ceremony in person.
At the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, a moment of silence will be observed to honour all who have fallen and acknowledge those who have served for our freedom. Lest we forget.
