Service Disruption: Civic Dome closed
The Civic Dome located at the Civic Recreation Complex is closed until further notice. As a result, all permitted rentals and bookings for the indoor track, tennis courts and squash courts at the Civic Recreation Complex will be cancelled until further notice. Any updates about this closure will be available at Facility Status.
The City of Oshawa has 2 indoor tracks and 1 outdoor track available for use by Level 1 members and through general admission fees. Learn more about Indoor Track Protocols.

General Information |
- The Civic Dome indoor track is located at the Civic Recreation Complex. It is a 4-lane, 225 metre rubberized surface, making it a popular training facility for track clubs and sports teams. Any club who wish to train on the track must submit an application to reserve a lane. There are designated times for team usage. Space is limited and teams will only be admitted if they have a permit for use. General admission fees apply for all participants.

Features |
- Distance: 7 laps equals one mile, 4.5 laps equals 1 kilometre.
- Lanes 1 and 2 are for walking or jogging, and lanes 3 and 4 running or jogging.
- Track users will be directed upon arrival as to the direction for walking or running on the track.

Rules and Regulations |
- Membership passes must be worn/displayed at all times.
- Strollers are permitted Monday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Walking poles with tip covers are permitted.
- Unauthorized equipment outside of permitted track training times is not allowed as it limits access for others in shared lane spaces.
- Appropriate attire, including clean indoor footwear, top, shorts/pants must be worn at all times.
- Pyramid spikes are permitted up to 5mm in length, needle spikes are prohibited.
- Water in a plastic container allowed; no other food or beverages are permitted.
- Personal training/ fitness coaching is not allowed except for "permitted" track specific training and City programming.
- Civic Dome clock is to be used for court booking start and end times.
- Children 12 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult. Children 5 years and under must be under the direct supervision and within an arms reach of the accompanying adult.
- Spectators are not permitted.

- Direction of traffic flow: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday - clockwise
- Direction of traffic flow: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday - counter-clockwise
- Blue lane is the walking lane, gray lane is for passing

- Strollers, walking poles and/or weights are not permitted
- Appropriate attire - top, shorts/pants and non-marking running shoes must be worn at all times (sandals or work boots are not permitted)
- No bags or jackets allowed
- No cell phones, PDA's, video cameras or other photography devices
- Water in a plastic container allowed; no other food or beverage permitted
- Access restricted to 13 years of age and older.

Outdoor Track - Civic Recreation Complex |
An 8-lane, 400-metre Mondo track with digital photo finish and timing system. The outdoor track is a pay-per-use facility.

Rules and Regulations |
- Outdoor track will be open for public use from dawn to dusk, weather permitting.
- Track hours are subject to change. The track will be closed for public use when track and/or stadium field is rented.
- Proper attire and running shoes must be worn at all times
- Children 12 years and under must be accompanied by an adult
- For inquiries on the use of the outdoor track for a track and field meet, please complete the Track and Field meet application and forward the completed form to the Facility Booking Office by email.
