The City of Oshawa boasts a variety of outdoor fields to accommodate a number of seasonal sports.
There are 53 community outdoor fields (three with lights) suitable for seasonal, occasional and tournament play in soccer, football, lacrosse and rugby. These facilities are generally open from May to October.
The City of Oshawa distributes outdoor sport fields to its users following the guidelines outlined in its Outdoor Field Allocation Policy. Combinations of factors are considered in order to allocate and manage outdoor sport fields in a fair and equitable manner. Please review the Outdoor Field Management Policy for details.
Open space is made available to affiliated user groups to provide for preseason practice time beginning the first weekend in April. Parks and Facilities Maintenance Branch staff assess and determine in advance the parks which have suitable ground conditions for play. User groups will be notified of the open space locations prior to each season.
If you are interested in booking an outdoor field, please submit an application to the Facility Booking Office.
