Join the Oshawa Civic Band this summer
Memorial Park Bandshell will also host the Oshawa Civic Band on July 16, August 6, and August 27 at 7:30 p.m.
Also, enjoy a unique lakeside performance as the Oshawa Civic Band performs at the Oshawa Museum, located at 1450 Simcoe St. S., on July 19 at 1 p.m.

As a thank you, community members who attend any of the City of Oshawa’s Events in the Park series will have the opportunity to enter a prize draw at each event (the "Events in the Park Draw") for the chance to win a prize pack consisting of the following items: one (1) City of Oshawa centennial gift bag; one (1) City of Oshawa branded travel picnic blanket; one (1) pair of City of Oshawa branded “Events” sunglasses; one (1) City of Oshawa branded ice pack; and one (1) $25 gift certificate to a downtown Oshawa business (collectively the “Prize Pack”). There are a total of eight Prize Packs to be won – one at each eligible event. The eligible Events in the Park event dates are as follows:
The three (3) Eligible Events at Memorial Park and the four (4) Eligible Events at Ed Broadbent Waterfront Park will occur between 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. The final Eligible Events at Columbus Park will commence at 8 p.m. For the three (3) Eligible Events at Memorial Park and the four (4) Eligible Events at Ed Broadbent Waterfront Park, all ballots must be received by the City by 8:15 p.m. The Events in the Park Draw for each of these Eligible Events will occur at the end of the event at approximately 8:30 p.m. For the final Eligible Event at Columbus Park, all ballots must be received by the City by 7:45 p.m. The Events in the Park Draw for this event will occur at approximately 8 p.m. Events in the Park Draw Rules and ConditionsThe Events in the Park Draw is open to anyone 18 years of age or older. Participants may enter the Events in the Park Draw by completing and submitting a ballot in person at any of the Eligible Events. Participants may enter the Events in the Park Draw at each Eligible Events. Only one (1) ballot per person, per Eligible Event shall be submitted. No purchase is required to enter the Events in the Park Draw. The City reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these Events in the Park Draw Rules and Conditions. The winner of each Prize Pack will be selected by random draw and announced by the City at the times specified above – at approximately 8:30 p.m. for the three (3) Eligible Events at Memorial Park and the four (4) Eligible Events at Ed Broadbent Waterfront Park, and at approximately 8 p.m. at the final Eligible Event at Columbus Park. The odds of being selected to win the Prize Pack will depend on the total number of eligible entries received by the deadline for each Eligible Event. Prior to claiming the Prize Pack at each Eligible Event, the potential winner must show valid government-issued photo identification, and any other information required, to City staff containing a current photograph and name to confirm their identity and eligibility for the Events in the Park Draw. Employees of the City of Oshawa are not eligible to enter the Events in the Park Draw or win the Prize Pack. Substitute prizes are not available, and the Prize Pack is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and is not redeemable for cash. By participating in the Events in the Park Draw, Entrants agree that all decisions of the City in relation to the Events in the Park Draw, including the determination and awarding of the Prize Pack, are in the City's sole and absolute discretion and are both final and binding upon the Entrant. The City reserves the right to cancel the Events in the Park Draw at any time for any reason without further notice and without any compensation to any person. The Entrant acknowledges and agrees that as a condition of accepting the Prize Pack, the Entrant agrees to indemnify the City from and against any and all actions, charges, claims, costs, damages, demands, liabilities, losses, suits, proceedings, costs and expenses, including, but not limited to, claims for personal injury or for property damage, resulting from or relating to the Entrant's participation in the Events in the Park Draw or the acceptance, use or misuse of the Prize Pack by the Entrant or any other person. By participating in the Events in the Park Draw, the Entrant hereby releases and holds harmless the City from any and all actions, charges, claims, costs, damages, demands, liabilities, losses, suits, proceedings, costs and expenses, including, but not limited to, claims for personal injury or for property damage, resulting from or relating to the Events in the Park Draw or the acceptance, use or misuse of the Prize Pack. By participating in the Events in the Park Draw, the Entrant acknowledges and agrees that personal information may be collected and disclosed by the City pursuant to the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. M.56, as amended. The Entrant acknowledges and agrees that the Entrant shall be entitled to no compensation for the Entrant's participation in the Events in the Park Draw. By participating in the Events in the Park Draw, the Entrant represents and warrants that the Entrant has read and understood and agrees to be bound by these Events in the Park Draw Rules and Conditions. |

These images may be used without further notification on City-owned and non-City-owned property, print media, digital media, the Internet, social media sites, media releases and broadcasts.
