Service Disruptions and Closures

The dome at the Civic Recreation Complex will be closed for maintenance from Monday, August 17 to Monday, August 24. It will reopen on Tuesday, August 25.

Kars on King on Friday, August 21, will have road closures affecting streets in the downtown core. 

Athol St. W. closure details starting August 10 for work on service connections for new development construction.

Verne Bowen St. closure details starting July 20,2026

With Park Road scheduled to close beginning on Monday, July 13 for a Ministry of Transportation overpass replacement, the City reminds residents that businesses remain open and encourages you to follow detour routes.

The City of Oshawa will be replacing existing pathway surfaces as well as completing minor repairs and improvements throughout Lakeview Park. This project is anticipated to be completed this fall. The work will be done in a phased approach to limit user impact.

For public safety, the Joseph Kolodzie Oshawa Creek Bike Path will be fully closed between the Wentworth St. underpass to 20m south of Thomas St., including the Trail Head parking lot (200 Thomas St.) to accommodate heavy equipment; associated noise levels may increase during these times.

Work continues on the reconstruction and widening of Conlin Rd. E. from east of Harmony Rd. N. to Kurelo Dr., as well as the construction of a new roundabout at Grandview St. N. and Conlin Rd. E. Full road closures will continue to be in effect during construction.

Construction of an accessible pathway will begin in July to connect Knights of Columbus Park from the existing Farewell Street parking lot. 

From May 4 to October 15, 2026, traffic line painting will occur on various roadways and intersections, primarily on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
