Drop-in sports activity schedules

Select a recreation facility from the below list to see available activities and schedules. 

While the City works to ensure schedules are offered as presented above, maintenance, weather and unforeseen incidents may result in schedules being adjusted. For the most up-to-date schedule information, visit activeOshawa Online


Civic Recreation Complex Fieldhouse

Drop-in sports offered at the Civic Recreation Complex Fieldhouse:

  • 18+ Soccer (advance booking required)
  • 35+ Soccer (advance booking required)
  • All Ages Soccer (advance booking required)
  • Batting Cages (advance booking required)
  • Family Open Sports (drop-in only)
  • Soccer Skills (advance booking required)

Civic Recreation Complex Fieldhouse activity schedule

Advance booking is required for Soccer Skills, 18+ Soccer, All Ages Soccer, 35+ Soccer through activeOshawa Online or by calling 905-436-3311. Community members are able to book one day in advance.

Advance booking is not required for Family Open Sport times. Please arrive at the facility during the scheduled time of the activity and pay applicable admissions fees at the reception desk.

Drop-in sports at Civic Fieldhouse ends on May 18, 2023. The Fieldhouse will reopen for drop-in sports in the fall.

Drop-in sports admission fees

Visit Memberships and Admissions to see drop-in sports admission fees or enroll in our membership program. Memberships are available for one, three, six and 12 month durations.

Drop-in sports descriptions and rules

The City of Oshawa offers a variety of drop-in sports, including:

Badminton

A popular program for participants of all ages. Birdies and racquets are available for use. Please note:

  • One Day advanced booking is required for those 12 years and older.
  • All players must check-in at the reception desk.
  • Members must scan their membership card. Card must be shown to gymnasium staff before access to the courts.
  • Non-members are to pay the drop-in fee and show photo I.D. before access to the courts.
  • Only those with reserved time will be allowed access.
  • Players can only reserve and play one court time (1 hour) per day and will be admitted into the gym at their reserved time.
  • There is a maximum of 12 registered players (4 players per court).

Basketball

Join your friends for a friendly game of ball!
Please note: Shoes must be non-marking indoor shoes. Spectators are not permitted.

Batting Cages

Come out and perfect your swing! Our batting cage bookings include access to our baseball pitching machine and batting cages. Note: NOCSAE approved baseball helmets must be worn when accessing the baseball cages.

Family Open Sports

A great time for participants of all ages to get out and play. We provide the equipment. Parents/guardians are to remain on-site to supervise their participants if they are not on the field participating with them.

Pickleball

Join us for fun and exercise. Pickleballs and paddles are available for use.

Preschool

Provides age appropriate activities for preschoolers 0 to 6 years and their parents/guardians to play and socialize in an unstructured environment. Participants are asked to bring indoor footwear to play.

Soccer

Games are played on a quarter field, balls and nets supplied.
Please note: Spectators are not allowed during evening drop-in soccer programs. Additionally, food and drink are not permitted.

Ultimate Frisbee

Grab your frisbee and join your friends for a game of pick-up ultimate frisbee. 


Program schedules may change on holidays, during special events or due to temporary closures. Stay up-to-date on facility and program changes at Recreation Facility Status.
