Facility Booking Office

The Facility Booking Office issues permits for:

• Arena Rentals
• Ball Diamond Rentals
• Civic Fieldhouse Rentals
• Civic Recreation Complex Fields Rentals
• Group Picnics at Lakeview Park
• Indoor and Outdoor Track Rentals
• Sport Fields Rentals
• Weddings and Wedding Photos in City Parks

Facility Booking Office hours:

• Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Saturday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• Closed on Sunday and all Federal and Provincial holidays and holiday weekends.

Use of corporate resources for election purposes

All events and activities in City of Oshawa facilities must be non-partisan during an election year. Events cannot display or distribute political campaign materials. This Use of Corporate Resources for Election Purposes policy applies to all three orders of government.

Facility Rental Insurance

All clients renting a City of Oshawa facility must provide a minimum of $2 million general liability insurance coverage with the City of Oshawa named as an additional insured. Eligible clients, not otherwise insured, can purchase insurance at the time of booking through the Municipal Facility User General Liability Insurance Program. Insurance rates are based on the type of activity and perceived risk categories associated with the activity.

Permit Processing Fee

Facility rental permits processed electronically through the Facility Booking Office are subject to a non-refundable $3 permit processing fee. The permit processing fee is waived for applications processed in person at the Facility Booking Office. 

Overdue invoices

The City of Oshawa charges interest at 1.25% monthly on balances 30 days overdue.
