Design Underway for Stevenson Rd. N. from Conlin Rd. to Taunton Rd. W.

The City of Oshawa has retained GFT Inc. to complete the detailed design of Stevenson Rd N., from Conlin Rd. W. to Taunton Rd. W. The design includes, but is not limited to, full road reconstruction, new curb and gutter, a multiuse pathway on the east side, intersection improvements, drainage upgrades, and utility coordination.

The City of Oshawa has partnered with the Region of Durham on this design. The Region’s scope includes, but is not limited to, the design of new watermain and sanitary sewer infrastructure within the project limits. Additionally, the Region is planning to install a 900 mm concrete pressure pipe feedermain along Conlin Rd., from Stevenson Rd. to Walreg Dr., with some of the work extending onto Stevenson Rd. N.

The City and Region are coordinating both projects to minimize disruptions and ensure efficient delivery of infrastructure upgrades.

Community members are invited to attend the public open house on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Northview Community Centre (150 Beatrice St. E.) to review the detailed design and presentation. Your knowledge of the area and input can help provide valuable information for finalizing design plans. 

Feedback will be received until 12 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Comments will be reviewed by staff and taken into consideration with regard to the design of the project.
