Kick off the holiday season with Oshawa’s Bright and Merry Market
The holiday season is here with the return of Oshawa’s Bright and Merry Market, presented by Enbridge! The City of Oshawa invites community members to enjoy an evening filled with twinkling lights, festive entertainment, and holiday cheer.
This free annual event takes place on Friday, November 14, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at City Hall’s Civic Square and along Centre Street, from King Street to Memorial Park at John Street. Full event details are available at oshawa.ca/Merry.
Enjoy live performances, festive displays, and family-friendly activities throughout the evening. Don’t miss the official tree lighting ceremony at 8 p.m. in Memorial Park and be sure to stop for a special visit with Santa.
Event partners—including Oshawa Public Libraries - McLaughlin Branch, Oshawa Senior Community Centres 55+, The Robert McLaughlin Gallery and St. George's Memorial Church—will also open their doors for holiday-themed activities, crafts, food and entertainment.
The celebration features live music, on-street entertainment, and vendors offering handmade and artisan gifts, décor, and tasty treats. It’s the perfect opportunity to shop local and support small businesses this holiday season.
Bright & Merry visitors are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation to support Feed the Need in Durham. Donation bins will be located at City Hall, The Robert McLaughlin Gallery, and Oshawa Public Libraries - McLaughlin Branch, for the duration of the event.
