Celebrate the end of the year through the music, food and artistry that connects us all. Stronger Together highlights Oshawa's cultural diversity and collective spirit. Held at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery, this event will bring together drumming traditions from different cultures, alongside local art and cuisine. 

Event agenda

  • 5:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. Afghan drumming and food reception with Shahir Ali Latif
  • 6 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Opening remarks
    • Traditional opening with Elder Tom Cowie
  • 6:40 p.m. – 7:10 p.m. Anishinaabe singers
    • Hand Drumming with Jordan Mowat
    • Big Drum with Michi Saagiig Manoomin Singers
  • 7:20 p.m. – 7:50 p.m. Japanese drumming with Arashido Taiko
  • 8 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. African drumming with Ngoma Ensemble

In collaboration with The Robert McLaughlin Gallery and Durham Region.
