The Delpark Homes Centre natural outdoor ice rink is available Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Washrooms are available at the Delpark Homes Centre during regular hours of operation.

Outdoor skating admission fees
Outdoor ice rinks are free to use. Advance booking is not required.
Skating descriptions
Public skate
An open skate for participants of all ages. Skaters 6 years of age and under must be actively supervised on the ice by a guardian.
Shinny hockey
CSA approved hockey helmets are strongly recommended for all participants. A Face shield, hockey gloves and neck guard are strongly recommended for all participants. Skaters 12 years of age and under must be actively supervised on the ice by a guardian.
Stick and puck
This skate is intended for participants to practice passing and stickhandling. CSA approved hockey helmets are strongly recommended for all participants. A Face shield, hockey gloves and neck guard are strongly recommended for all participants. Game play and team practices are not permitted. Hockey nets, skating aids and other training equipment are not permitted. Skaters 12 years of age and under must be actively supervised on the ice by a guardian.
Leisure skating rules
General rules
- Do not participate if you are feeling unwell
- Respect and follow instructions from facility staff and any posted signage
- CSA approved hockey helmets are strongly recommended for all participants
- On-ice participants are required to wear skates or ice sledges
The following are not permitted
- Shoes/Boots
- Food/Drinks
- Body contact or slap shots
- Smoking, vaping or alcohol
- Sticks, pucks, balls, hockey nets during public skating hours
- Pucks raised off the ice during shinny and stick and puck hours
- Foul language and inappropriate behaviour
- Carrying children on the ice (including in a baby carrier/harness)
- Strollers (unless for accessibility purposes), chairs and sleds/toboggans
The following applies to the use of skating aids, accessibility strollers, wheelchairs and ice sledges
- Accessibility strollers and wheelchairs are allowed on the ice as long as the wheels are clean; ice sledges are allowed on the ice
- Persons accompanying someone in an accessibility stroller, wheelchair or ice sledge must wear skates
- Skating aids are allowed in designated areas; bring your own
Community Outdoor Ice Rink Program
We accept applications for community members or groups interested in building and maintaining a community ice rink in your local park. For details or to apply, contact Service Oshawa.
Outdoor Ice Rinks Policy and Procedure
Staff will review the request to ensure site suitability, including:
- Water access
- Sufficient flat space with suitable drainage
- Proximity to homes and sensitive areas
Once approved, outdoor ice rink volunteers will work together to build and maintain the rinks by flooding and shovelling, caring for equipment and keeping a watchful eye on the rinks as per the City's safety requirements.
Program schedules may change on holidays, during special events or due to weather conditions.
