Help shape the future of culture in Oshawa
The City of Oshawa is developing a new Culture Plan to guide cultural policy, programs, and services over the next decade and community input is key.
Culture means different things to different people. Whether it’s concerts, art exhibitions, movies, libraries, or historic sites, your experiences and ideas matter. This refreshed plan will build on the foundation of Culture Counts: Oshawa’s Arts, Culture and Heritage Plan (2014) and reflect Oshawa’s evolving and diverse community.
To support this work, the City has partnered with Extra Cardamom, a boutique consulting collective known for values-driven collaborations.
Get involved
Residents are invited to share their input in several ways:
- Complete an online feedback form at connectoshawa.ca/CulturePlan or pick up a paper form at Service Oshawa (City Hall, 50 Centre St. S.)
- Attend a public online session on Thursday, November 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Use the Connect Oshawa mapping tool to showcase the cultural places, creative spaces and people that shape our city.
- Visit a pop-up event or try the community conversation toolkit.
Share your voice to win
As a thank you, those who complete the feedback form may enter a draw to win one of two prize packs, each including a $50 gift certificate for a downtown Oshawa restaurant and a 3-month individual recreation fitness membership. Full prize details are available on Connect Oshawa.
Feedback will be accepted until noon on December 5, 2025 and will be considered by the project team during the development of the Culture Plan.
