COVID-19 Update:
The Province of Ontario has enacted a Provincial emergency and stay-at-home order along with further restrictions to help stop the spread of COVID-19. In addition, the province is also strengthening public health and workplace safety measures under the province-wide emergency brake shutdown. In accordance with this, the following has come into effect:
• All recreation facilities are closed until further notice.
• All bookings for leisure admissions, including bookings for Fitness Centres, Indoor Tracks, Leisure Swims and Skates, and Tennis and Pickleball Courts have been cancelled. Full refunds will be issued to community members who have had their booking cancelled.
• Membership holders will be compensated accordingly for the duration of the facility closures.
• All facility permits that were booked during the facility closures have been cancelled. Permits for outdoor spaces and facilities have been cancelled until further notice. Full refunds will be issued to permit holders who have had their permit cancelled.
• All in-person City-led special events and festivals, as well as special event permits, have been cancelled through to and including July 1, 2021. This includes the cancellation of permits for festivals and events in City facilities and outdoor spaces up until and including July 1, 2021.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Oshawa is cancelling all in-person City-led special events and festivals, as well as special event permits through to and including July 1, 2021.
City-led event cancellations for in-person events include: Community Clean Up, Community Fire Safety Day, Peony Festival and Canada Day Celebration. The City is pleased to report that the Peony Festival will be celebrated virtually in June 2021 – stay tuned for more details on the virtual event.

The City of Oshawa hosts open, free public events. Photographers will be present taking photos and video footage at these events. These images may be used without further notification at a later date on City-owned and non-City-owned property, print media, digital media, the Internet, social media sites, media releases and broadcasts. By attending, you consent to such use.
COVID-19 Update: Durham Region including the City of Oshawa entering province-wide emergency brake shutdown
Effective Saturday, April 3, 2021, Durham Region, including the City of Oshawa, will enter a province-wide shutdown. In accordance with this, the following will come into effect:
