Free on-street holiday parking in downtown Oshawa

Supporting small and family-owned businesses in downtown Oshawa is easy to do this holiday season!

The City of Oshawa is offering free on-street parking downtown starting at noon daily from Monday, December 8 up to and including Thursday, January 1. Due to statutory holidays, parking will be free all day on December 25, 26 and January 1.

Fees for on-street parking still apply between 8 a.m. and noon, Monday through Friday. On-street parking will remain free after 6 p.m. during the week and all day on weekends and statutory holidays.

Reminders:

  • Paid parking will still be required for off-street municipal parking lots and parkades.
  • On-street parking is not permitted on Oshawa streets between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m., from December 1 to April 1.
  • In addition to the 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. winter seasonal parking regulations, vehicles parked on Oshawa streets at any time while salting/snow clearing is underway may be ticketed and/or towed.
