Give our green spaces some love at Community Cleanup Week

It’s time for a spring cleaning! The seasons have officially changed, and it’s the perfect opportunity to get outside for some fresh air and community-building by participating in the City’s annual Community Cleanup Week.

Taking place Monday, April 20 to Friday, April 24, Community Cleanup Week invites groups of all sizes to lend a hand and help clean up our parks, green spaces, trails and schoolyards.

Registered participants will be provided free garbage bags and gloves (while supplies last). To register or learn more, including choosing a community clean-up area, visit oshawa.ca/CleanupWeek.

As part of the annual initiative, Communities with Brooms will return for a special downtown cleanup event on Wednesday, April 22. Participants are invited for a free barbeque at MP Kirkland’s office following the cleanup. Register and learn more at oshawa.ca/CommunitiesWithBrooms.

The City of Oshawa would like to thank our event sponsors, TD, Walton Restoration and Swish Quality Cleaning Products, for their continued support.

Save the date! In addition to Community Cleanup Week, join the Mayor’s Cleanup events on Saturday, May 9 and Saturday, June 20 in downtown Oshawa, and Saturday, September 12 at the Second Marsh. All volunteers will receive supplies, including gloves, maps and garbage bags. To register or learn more, visit oshawa.ca/MayorsCleanup.
