Go behind the scenes at Oshawa’s second annual Public Works at Work event

The City of Oshawa is excited to welcome the community back for the second annual Public Works at Work: Trucks, Tools and More! This family-friendly event will take place on Thursday, May 21 from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Consolidated Operations Depot, 199 Wentworth St. E.

In celebration of National Public Works Week (May 17 to 23), community members will have the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at the facilities and equipment that keep Oshawa running. Take a tour of the facilities and see the City’s impressive fleet of trucks including an excavator, street sweeper, tractor, garbage truck, snowplow and much more!

Enjoy more fun for the whole family including:

  • Balloon twisting
  • Facepainting
  • Sand pit exploration
  • Planting activities with the City’s greenhouse staff
  • Live music
  • Forestry staff demos
  • Food and beverage vendors
  • An appearance from Paw Patrol’s Marshall!
