Nominations now open for 2027 Oshawa Community Awards

The City of Oshawa is calling for nominations for the 2027 Oshawa Community Awards. These awards annually celebrate and recognize the community members, businesses and organizations that make meaningful impact across the city.

Nominations will be accepted until December 4 in the following categories:

• Accessibility Improvement Award celebrates individuals, businesses or organizations that make significant efforts to enhance accessibility and inclusion within the City of Oshawa.
  
  
• Citizen Volunteer Award recognizes dedicated individuals who have volunteered with an organization or agency for at least five years.
  
  
• Community Legend Award recognizes a person or organization/group that has made a significant impact on the Oshawa community, at a grassroots level, through arts and culture, sports or local initiatives.  
  
  
• Culture Counts Award celebrates the creative and cultural achievements of Oshawa’s arts and heritage community. It includes three categories: Professional Artist, Emerging Artist, and Innovation and Creation Champion.  
  
  
• Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Champions Award recognizes individuals, community organizations and businesses that have taken efforts to enhance equity and belonging in the city. It includes four categories: Individual Champion, Youth Champion, Organization Champion and Business Champion.
