Oshawa’s events win big at 2026 FEO Awards

The City of Oshawa is proud to announce its success at the 2026 Festivals & Events Ontario (FEO) Awards, where the Indigenous Cultural Celebration and Peony Festival received prestigious designations recognizing excellence and visibility in the festival and event industry.

In total, four Oshawa events were named among the Top 100 Festivals in Ontario:

  • Indigenous Cultural Celebration
  • Peony Festival
  • Convergence (organized by Oshawa Tourism) – also honoured with the Best New Festival Award
  • Oshawa Halloween Boo Bash (organized by Oshawa Tourism)

TD Bank was also recognized with the Sponsor of the Year Award for its outstanding partnership with the City, earning particular distinction for Events in the Park, while also generously supporting the Peony Festival, Community Clean-Up Week, and the Bright and Merry Market. The City extends our sincere thanks to TD Bank for their continued commitment and contributions to our community events.

The Peony Festival, celebrating its 14th consecutive FEO Top 100 award, will showcase stunning spring blooms, artisans, and entertainment on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7 at Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens.

The Indigenous Cultural Celebration takes place at Ed Broadbent Waterfront Park on Saturday, May 30 featuring performances, storytelling, spoken word artists, traditional dancing, hand drumming, and interactive workshops led by First Nations, Inuit, and Métis presenters and storytellers.

Organized by Oshawa Tourism and generously supported by the City of Oshawa, Convergence will take place on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, (bringing live music, art, and creativity together in the downtown core) and the Oshawa Halloween Boo Bash will take place on Saturday, October 17 (featuring live music, vendors, and fun Halloween spirit).
