Pedal into June

Celebrate Bike Month in Oshawa. Community members are invited to participate in Bike Month events and (re)discover the benefits of cycling.

Cycling offers significant physical and mental health advantages. Supporting walking, cycling, and other forms of active transportation while encouraging active lifestyles remains a key priority for Oshawa Council.

Join us at the following cycling events:

  • Friday, June 5 at 5:30 p.m. - Oshawa Community Ride along the Waterfront Trail to Rotary Sunrise Lake Park in Whitby and back. The ride starts and ends at Lakeview Park (Parking Lot G at 1557 Kluane Ave.) and takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete.

  • Tuesday, June 16 at 5:30 p.m. - Scavenger Hunt on bikes along the Waterfront Trail at Lakeview Park (starting at Parking Lot G at 1557 Kluane Ave.).

Visit oshawa.ca/BikeMonth for more details.

June is also Recreation and Parks Month (JRPM), a movement that celebrates the physical, social and environmental benefits of recreation and green spaces. To mark JRPM, the City offers free activities throughout June for residents of all ages. Explore the full list at oshawa.ca/JRPM.
